ENGLISH

Our school – SECONDARY TECHNICAL AND HIGHER TECHNICAL SCHOOL PRIBRAM – is a large school with about 600 students at the age of 15-19 and about 80 employees (about 50 teachers). Students are provided with both general and specialized education. All students learn English or German. Both full-time and part-time students attend school. The study is suitable for both boys and girls.

Our school is a state (government-funded) school. The school offers educational activities concerning the following areas:

  • part-time study
  • further education

SECONDARY TECHNICAL SCHOOL

 

Nowadays our school is a modern secondary school of polytechnic character focused on four fields of study:

  • WEAK-CURRENT ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING
  • School Study Programme: Computer Technologies
  • MECHANICAL ENGINEERING
  • School Study Programme: Computer-aided Mechanical Engineering
  • STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING
  • School Study Programme: Civil Engineering

Education in our school concentrates on preparing students to be creative, obtain skills and knowledge and use them in practice with the help of the latest technologies including the abilities to use information and communication technologies and acquire good language skills.

Graduates are prepared to work in technical professions, technology nad production, eventually in enterprise. The school prepares them for intermediate level technical positions (technicians, technologists etc.) and jobs which are useful and in need in our region. It also focuses on the preparation of students to be successful in passing entrance examinations to technical universities

HIGHER TECHNICAL SCHOOL

 

It is focused on the following field of study:

MANAGEMENT SPORTS AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION ACTIVITIES AND ORGANISATIONS

It is a three-year higher school field of education which represents a postsecondary focused programme as an alternative to colleges. The applicants must be secondary school graduates. Students pay a fee for tuition. The curriculum consists of lectures and seminars in a full-time study. Students finish their studies passing the final „absolutorium“ exam.
